What is the SCRIP Program?
The SCRIP program is a national
fundraising program that Albany Christian School has developed to assist
families in lowering their tuition costs and to support the continued growth
of ACS. The stores that participate in the program sell their gift cards and
certificates to ACS at discounted rates. Families purchase these gift cards
at face value. The discount earnings are then accumulated throughout the
year. In March of each year, the earnings are accredited to your account.
Families receive 50% of the discount earned. Approximately 5% goes to cover
the cost of the program (shipping, bank fees, etc.) The remaining 45% is
credited to the school.
Who can
participate?
Albany Christian School families,
friends, relatives even families who are planning to have their children
at Albany Christian in the future can participate. We can save up to 5 years
for any family thinking of future ACS students. Any unused funds will be
credited to the school at the end of the 5 year period.
How do
I apply?
Just fill out the
online registration form or request a
paper-version from the school office. As soon as we receive the completed
registration form, you may begin placing orders and/or purchasing SCRIP on
hand.
How
does it work?
Once you are registered in the
program, you may order as needed. To order, simply fill out an order form,
specifying the types and amounts of certificates you want. Place your check
with your order form and return to the office. Your order will be available
for you to pick up, or if you indicate on your order form, we can send it
home with your child.
